Legal basis
Legitimate interest to serve the site and the daily puzzle; your consent for statistics, which you can withdraw in Preferences.
Recipients
Google, as our processor (Firebase and Google Analytics). It may process data in the US with appropriate safeguards. We share data with no one else.
In your browser
Your game, history and preferences (sound, language, section, whether you saw the help and your statistics choice) are stored only in this browser so you can continue. There are no accounts and nothing is sent to a server. Clearing the site’s data erases them.
When you open the site and the daily puzzle
Firebase Hosting serves the site and Firestore the daily puzzle. As with any website, Google receives your IP address and technical browser data to respond and protect the service, and keeps Hosting logs for a few months. No cookies or player identifiers are used. The puzzle is kept in your browser for up to six hours to avoid downloading it again.
Statistics (optional)
Only if you agree, Google Analytics records visits, games started and solved, approximate play time, moves, use of help and sharing, your feedback if you give it, and error codes. We never send your marks, solutions or free text. It uses cookies (up to 90 days) and browser identifiers, so the data is not anonymous. Advertising features are off.
Google Analytics keeps events for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months. The user-data period resets with new activity. These periods do not apply to standard aggregate reports. Your choice is remembered for 24 months; then we ask again.
You can withdraw permission in Preferences. This stops new data being sent; it does not erase data Google has already received.
When you share
The message is prepared on your device and only names the puzzle or the daily date and, if you solved it, the number of pairs. We don’t receive it; if you send it through another service, that service’s terms apply.
Transfers and rights
Google may process data outside the European Economic Area; those transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. More in the Firebase privacy information.
You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability by writing to the contact provided. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD). Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. You can play without accepting statistics.
